Began dancing at the age of three right here in the great state of Texas. She competed, performed at charity events and studied with many local artists (Lauren Anderson of Houston Ballet, Robert Underwood of Ballet Theater of Houston to name a couple). She then went on to receive her BFA in Contemporary Dance, with honors, from The Boston Conservatory. While at The Boston Conservatory she had the privilege of studying from a variety of teachers: Adriana Suarez (Boston Ballet), Gianni DiMarco (Boston Ballet), Polo San Ping (Boston Ballet), Donna Silva (Joffrey Ballet), Tommy Neblett (Modern choreographer), Marcus Schulkind (Founder of Green Street Studios) and many more! She also had the honor in performing in a variety of works by stellar choreographers such as Bill T. Jones, Francesca Harper, Tommy Neblett, Danny Buraczeski and Lorraine Chapman. Upon graduation, Brittani moved to Seattle, WA where she worked with a plethora of local artists. She performed in a music video and a 6 month long collaboration with a local Rock band. Brittani discovered her love of teaching in the year off between high school and college when she taught, and worked with the apprentice team right here at In-Step. After college she immediately began teaching a variety of dance styles to both competitive and recreational dancers and choreographed for several different youth productions of Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast in both Washington and Albany, NY. Brittani aims to inspire and loves to share her passion of dance with all.
